Some comments

I'd appreciate some comments about - well, about just about anything, to be honest! But in particular, I'd like to know whether people can read the various charts I've put up. I'm not sure how well they're coming through, or which ones have been clearest. Please let me know.

On a related note, you may not have seen this brief exchange of comments about pitcher control.

Finally, if you like the IBL and you're into statistics, please tell a friend about the blog. It would be nice to be able to discuss this with someone other than my keyboard.

Well, you are definitely being read!

I'm a big fan of SABRmetrics and read your blog religiously (and forward some of the posts around to my family members in the States).

Thanks for the excellent work and interesting posts. The tables come through just fine.

Aryeh,

Glad to hear it! Let me know if you have any insights into what I'm doing, or any suggestions for future topics.

Maybe next year you can take Connex to the games?

(That was a little Modiin joke, folks.)

I enjoy your blog. Though I never look at the charts. Charts always confuse me. I am not really a big stats guy, but they sort of interest me in a cursory way...

BTW, ballparks always affect the stats. Playing in Wrigley is different than playing in Comiskey (or whatever they call it nowadays) and playing in Mile High is different than playing in Texas.

Rafi,

Glad you enjoy it. Though I'm not sure what exactly you're enjoying if you're not really a big stats guy. Guess I'll have to keep the words interesting, too.

This is truly great stuff...I think the blog is very informative and I look forward to many more posts...I was thinking it would be interesting to see the breakdown of where the top homerun hitters hit most of their homeruns.

Anonymous,

Thanks. I look forward to continuing to post, time permitting.

Regarding the home run breakdown, I've been working on that. Should have something soon.

I like the general idea.. I read it but my eyes kind of glaze over at the numbers, but I like reading the theories that you are trying to prove or disprove...
